New York is one of the most fascinating cities in the world, its size, rhythm, people, architecture and world famous locations seen throughout the world in movies and pictures. Everything is accessible and invites you to roam, discover, experience and develop your ability to view the world with a visual state of mind. I invite you to join me for a unique photographic experience in the streets of New York. An experience which will introduce you to new places and interesting people and will let you enhance your photographic vision.
In 1990 I fulfilled a dream and moved to NYC to study film and television at New York University. During the seven years I lived in New York City I discovered many of its amazing locations and documented them on a film and still camera. After returning to Israel I started working as a cinematographer and still photographer but my love for NY didn't fade and each visit made me feel like I'm discovering it for the first time.
Imagine a workshop dedicated to NYC, a workshop where we experience the city and document it through the camera's lens in a way that is unique to you and your photographic vision. We'll discover NYC through our feet and eyes. We'll roam it, open our heart and soul to what comes our way. We'll pay attention to every little detail, stop to have a cup of coffee and observe the people walking by.
We'll experience this amazing city with all of our senses. The camera is always with us, waiting for the decisive moment, that slippery moment where we press the shutter and document another moment. A moment which belongs to each one of us. A moment captured by our photographic vision.
Join me for an urban photography workshop, New York Frame Of Mind. A week filled with street photography, portraiture, architecture photography and everything which will make us bring the camera to our eye and press the shutter. We'll discuss photographic vision, light, composition, timing, how to approach people, operate the camera and capture the essence of NYC.
